Create request
- From the patient file, it takes just one click to create a test request, and a couple more clicks to select the analyser(s), and test(s), you can optionally enter notes, before clicking to send the order.
- With the patient file open, you can manually transpose the patient details and required tests to your test order form.
- Once the form is complete, you’ll need to locate a technician and pass the order to them.

Process and Run the tests

- On the IDEXX VetLab Station (IVLS), click to select the correct patient.
- Click to run the test(s).
Animana with
non-IDEXX analysers
- Validate the order form is correctly filled in and legible.
- Validate the patient information, and the test(s) chosen.
- Manually enter the relevant patient and customer information into the diagnostic equipment.
- Run the test(s).

Process results
Animana with IDEXX In-House Diagnostics
- A notification will be shown in Animana when the results arrive. Click the notification to view the results directly in the patient file.
Animana with
non-IDEXX analysers
- Regularly check the list of incoming lab results to see if new results have arrived.
- Identify the relevant patient result in the list.
- Click the link icon and search for the relevant patient in Animana.
- Click the record to view the results in the patient file.

- Results are automatically linked to the patient file, but you will need to manually add the test(s) to the patient to ensure correct billing.
