You will receive the login details for the pre-live account as soon as it is ready. This is the final account and has a unique name, and is set up according to the type of practice you run: companion animals, farm animals, horses or mixed. We also activate your desired modules in this account. The account will be set up by you, with telephone guidance from your CSM. At a later stage, products are added and in the final stage clients, patients, reminders, calendar and open invoices are added (provided these components can be converted from your previous PIMS).

Online checklist, intended to keep an overview of the implementation process. It can be very useful to involve your colleagues in this process, for example to help set the general settings in your account or to finetune your product database. You can track your progress by updating the ‘Status’ column, links to help materials are available and important information can be added in the ‘Updates’ section, where your CSM and yourself can update each other.

We will extract your data from your current PIMS system or you might have to ask your PIMS supplier to do this. We will place the data from that export in a so-called trial conversion account. As soon as your trial account is ready, you will receive the login details.

The trial conversion is the blueprint for your final conversion and therefore you need to thoroughly check if all your data was converted correctly. Your CSM will explain over the phone how best to check your trial conversion.

We will also move your products to a separate spreadsheet, so that they can be easily edited and then moved into your pre-live account. In this way, you can prep your product database in your pre-live account so that it is already ready when you go ‘live’.

The trial conversion will need to be approved in writing.

We will make a final backup of your current PIMS system (or receive it again from the supplier) just before you go ‘live’. This data will be converted in the same way as your approved trial conversion and your data will be placed in a live account together with the data of your pre-live account. By creating a new export of your data just before go-live, we ensure that your client and patient data is up-to-date when you go live. As said, your final conversion will be done in exactly the same way as your approved trial conversion.

To make good use of IDEXX Animana, proper product management is essential. You will receive a basic product training so that you can do the essential product settings in your database.

When you do your accounting in IDEXX Animana, you will also receive a limited financial explanation. In addition to this training, we will provide you with information to ensure that the basic settings – essential to go live – are performed.
