Animana Release Highlights: Version 4.4
This version of Animana contains several bug fixes, security improvements, and behind the scenes enhancements. It also includes the following changes:
Changes to recurring appointments can be applied to one occurrence only
You can now choose whether changes to recurring appointments should apply to one occurrence or whether to apply to all future appointments. So if your regular farm visit at 10.30 every Wednesday morning cancels one week, you can now edit or delete just that appointment. You’ll see this new option at the bottom of the appointment edit pop-up – just choose your option and save. Also, now when dragging and dropping recurring appointments – only the one instance will change. For more information please see the knowledge base article here.
Important notes regarding your existing recurring appointments: Existing recurring appointments which have no end date will be now be set to expire one year from now. You can change this by opening the appointment and adjusting the end date of the series. Existing recurring appointments which have already ended will no longer be visible in the diary.
Treatments added in IDEXX SmartFlow are now added to Animana
We’re happy to have reached another milestone in the IDEXX SmartFlow integration with Animana with the introduction of charge capture for treatments added to a patient in SmartFlow. These SmartFlow treatments will now be automatically added to the patient file in Animana as uninvoiced. This automated step removes human error and ensures that all treatments are billed. This functionality will automatically be enabled in Animana, but will need enabling in SmartFlow, to do this please see our kb article here.
Staff names in Custom Protocols are now be sorted alphabetically
Are you taking advantage of the Custom Protocols yet? If so, you’ll be happy that staff names in customer protocols will now be listed alphabetically, by first name – making it much easier to find the right person quickly – especially in larger practices.
More eClaims insurance companies available
If you’re in Great Britain and using Animan eClaims, all insurance companies available through VetEnvoy can now be used in Animana, including Agria and MiPetCover, which were recently added to the VetEnvoy portfolio.
More Irish insurance companies available
For manual insurance claims for Irish practices, we’ve added more insurance companies to choose from, including; Argos, Direct Line, More Than, Pet Plan, Pet Protect, RSA, Tesco, together with an option to just log a patient as “Insured in UK”.
