Animana Release Highlights: Version 5.4
This version of Animana contains several bug fixes, security improvements, and behind the scenes enhancements. It also includes the following changes:
“Sales unit” merge code now available
The “Sales Unit” is now available to be used on product labels. This allows for greater clarity on the product and dosage, for example:
- without the sales unit: 0.5 APOQUEL 3.6mg [PK 100]
- with the sales unit: 0.5 tablet APOQUEL 3.6mg [PK100]
Sales units are defined in Extra > Products > Products> [Select product] > Product tab > sales unit.
To add the sales unit to your product label, head over to the Content Designer (Extra > Mailing > Content Designer > Label), and select a label (for example, select “label product companion” for your default product label for companion animals). You will now find the “invoice detail sales unit” merge code in the list of merge codes; clicking this will add the corresponding “${invoicedetail.unit}” merge code to your label.
IDEXX in-house diagnostics results will now be shown in a consistent order
Based on your feedback, we’ve modified the order that your IDEXX in-house diagnostics results are displayed in the patient file. The order will now match that shown on your IDEXX VetLab Station (IVLS) and the PDF attached in the patient file, ensuring there is no confusion between the three different views of the same result.
Please note that this change will also apply to all past results, so to avoid errors, be sure to take note of both the result and test name rather than the order the test appears.
Refreshed “Waiting Time” report
Starting with the waiting time report, we are refreshing Animana reporting with clearer layouts and improved filtering to make them easier to understand. You can expect to see all reports to get the same updated look in 2022.
Integral Chain Management export for livestock animals
Previously split into three different reports, the new “export Herd and ICM” report, should greatly speed up your livestock reporting. We’ve added a report preview, and a column showing a herd CPH number if applicable. You can find the export in Extra > export > Export Herd And ICM.
Added Application Programming Interface (API) capabilities
The Animana API makes it possible for other programs to interact with each other. We’re continually working on our API to enhance the capabilities to securely exchange data between Animana and other applications, allowing us to work with other partners. In this release, we are adding more data points for external parties to access from Animana.
