Animana Release Highlights: Version 8.1

This version of Animana contains several bug fixes, security improvements, and behind-the-scenes enhancements. It also includes the following changes:

Improved Animana search functionality

We’ve updated the search, adding more functionality, including:

  • If a search result relates to an inactive item, an “inactive” label will now be shown.
  • Client searches, using the “client,,patient” notation (see our tip for more information), now include inactive patients – opening up an easier way to search for deceased patients.
  • All searches now ignore accents on letters – so searching for patient “Okke” is the same as searching for “Ökke”.

Redesigned internal messaging

We’ve updated this page with a great new look and feel. We’ve also added more functionality:

  • Filter by date, sender, and category
  • Select multiple messages and perform delete and read/unread actions
  • When replying to a message, you can now search in users and groups

Improved dental workflow

We’ve updated this screen so it’s now easier to use. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Improved colour-coding for better readability
  • Diagnosis, Treatment, and Gum fields are now shown on the overview screen and will show up if the page is printed
  • The dental chart is now species-specific for canine and feline patients.
  • New “save and next” and “save and previous” buttons for quicker data entry
